Well, we're busy and life is always moving.

John is still working the two jobs, regular job and toy job. He's become an inside man at the latter for an 11-year-old who is collecting Star Wars Figures. He loves it. At his regular job, he finds several things amusing. Usually he will release the things he finds amusing in the form of his artwork that gets emailed around to his friends and family. Recently he taught himself to solve the Rubik's Cube. He was pretty excited, but now wants me to learn how to do it. He actually taught me how to solve it, but I still need help to finish it.

This semester I am taking 4 classes (full load) and still working full time, but in a new department. My new job is severely more easy going than my last one and I have only one boss who is super nice (but just went on maternity leave until November). I have the option to work from home when I need to. It's also nice to know that I can drive in to work and not have to talk to a doofus when I get there.

Emily has started first grade and has become the social butterfly of our family. She always has an update on her friends when I pick her up from the bus. She makes my day because she'll run off of the bus with her arms open and jumps into my arms with a big hug for me. I'm going to treasure that as long as I can...I'm told it won't last forever. I mean, I don't go running to my parents with my arms open anymore. Maybe I should, although, I think it would frighten them. Anyway, she loves school because she gets to have three recesses now. She'll tell you there are two for playing and one for eating. She's still a girly girl, I recently took her to get her hair cut and when she sat in the chair, she had specific instructions for the stylist on how she wanted her hair to be. It was so cute. She always wants to be in style (as you can see from the photos).
As for Parker, he has already decided on a career path. He is determined to grow up to be a Lego designer. Already he plays with legos and, in preparation for his career, he designs his very own "sets" and then preserves them on his shelf. We're going to have to move to a new house just so he can have a room big enough for his creations! When he decides he wants to play legos, he'll tell John and I, "Well, I have to go to my job." He's been telling everyone that he already has a job and that he has to work. It's so funny. He also has decided that Halloween is is favorite holiday. He has been decorating the house with masks. Recently, when we went to the store, he bought himself a pumpkin with his own money so he can carve it. Then he picked one out for John because he didn't want Daddy to feel left out - he didn't get to come to the store with Emily, Parker and I. He's always willing to share everything, even his last donut.
Overall, we're doing really well. We're enjoying life. For John's birthday we're going to go to Canada and stay on a farm up there, see some of the fun sites, etc. We're also planning a trip to Cedar City to visit Glenn and Kristen who are up for her brother's wedding reception. Emily's excited because she gets to stay in a hotel. Parker's not excited because he thinks we're leaving our house forever to stay in a hotel. I've tried to explain to him that we're coming back, but he seems to still worry about it.
Anyway, we hope you are all happy, healthy and enjoying life as much as we are. May the Good Lord bless you with what you need.
