Pastimes

Hello again!  It's another post from me.  

John is playing Oblivion on his PS3.  He talks trash to the characters and when one of the characters he's fighting says "Here's where you fall down and bleed to death", John replies with a resounding "Shut up!".  After which, Emily and Parker tell him in chorus, "Dad, you said a bad word."  Thank heaven for the good example our kids are to us.  They are good reminders for us to keep things G rated around here.  

Right now, he's fighting in an Oblivion gate.  That is a portal to another dimension in the game.

While this was going on, I put Parker in the bath.  He needed one, he's a little boy.  He had a nice relaxing time in the tub.  

While John was playing a little friendlier phase in the game, I was looking at places on Google Earth.  I looked up this place where I visited on my mission to The Netherlands.  This place is by Germany and is a little ways away from Groningen, when my first city was.  This place is called Bourtange Fortress and is known as a vestingstad which is a military fortress that is in a strategic location and is surrounded by water.  There are lookouts for archers which, don't really get used anymore, but this place was still breathtaking and a site to see.  It is beautiful there and a trip I won't forget.

He lived in Bielefeld which is in the northern part of Germany.  I've heard it's beautiful there.
