The day started with a smoothie. This time we just made plain chocolate but added in some vanilla yogurt, which made a smiley face so Parker and I took a picture of it.
Grandpa said they won't let you take snacks into the soccer game, but Parker snuck one in his pocket... it didn't make it to Bangerter before he'd already eaten it.
We walked to the stadium and saw some graffiti on the buildings by the pseudo makeshift parking lot.
Emily waited patiently for the game to start. She wished she had brought her Speed Racer hat Daddy gave her to wear and keep the sun out of her eyes. Real was playing a team from Austin, Texas.
Kristie, Marianne, Allison, Amber and Aunt Marlene saved us all seats on the very front row! It was awesome to sit that close.
Grandma and Grandpa took us to the game. They came over, loaded in the drawers of destiny and we stopped at Deseret Industries on the way to the game. See ya later drawers of destiny!
We waited for the game to start. Right before the game, Leo the Lion (mascot for Real Salt Lake) jumped the wall and tickled Parker with his mane. This is the aftermath smile.
This is Leo after jumping back off the wall onto the field. The team is in the background doing their pre-game cheer.
Some of the action we saw from the front row.
Emily is always a rockstar. She had so much fun cheering for the team and laughing with Parker and I.
Emily and Parker cheered their hearts out for the team.
Amber lent Emily her Batman hat to keep the sun out of her eyes. When the sun went behind a cloud, Emily put it on backwards and said it wasn't comfortable wearing it backwards. So, she wore it sideways and when the sun came out again, she put it on frontwards.
Parker was waiting for our team to score a goal.
This was a corner kick that we almost scored off of. REAL was the first one to score in the game, but Texas scored right after half-time. REAL scored another goal and we were winning 2 to 1!
Parker excited that our team is winning.
Parker cheering for Real Salt Lake, "KICK THE BALL! MAKE A GOAL! COME ON ALREADY!"
The team after scoring a third goal.
WOOOOOOOO!!!!!! THEY SCORED A THIRD GOAL!
We won 3 to 1 and the kids had a blast cheering their hearts out for the team.
After the game, LEO came by again and gave Parker hugs.
Emily got hugs too.
LOOK AT THAT SMILE ON PARKER! I have not seen him smile like this in a long time, he has had so much on his mind. He had so much fun at the game, he said this was the best day of his life and that he wished we lived at the soccer stadium. He just wished that Dad would have been there to share it with him.
After the game, we went home, relaxed for a bit and then went to the park to fly Emily's kite and take her baby dolls, ChuChu and Baby Born for a walk in their super deluxe stroller.
We flew the kite until it got stuck in a tree and then we had to cut the cord. Emily was sad about losing her kite, but since it only cost a dollar, I told her we could get her a new one.
It was sooooo windy, that Emily could push her baby carriage away from her and the wind would blow it back to her.
There were teenagers on the playground and Parker didn't really want to play with teenagers so we went home. It was getting colder anyway.
We then headed home, got in the car and went to the store. We got some new flavors of ice cream and then made sundays and watched Twilight before we went to bed.
Leo also rode by on his bike to give the kids high fives during the game. Here's a video of it.
