Today's excitement. I went to lunch with my good friend Kristen. We both had turkey burgers, but I have to get mine without the bun so my meat will be gluten free. This is what a gluten free burger looks like. I'm not quite sure why they put all of the veggies/fixins in a separate dish. It looked quite pathetic.
This is what the underside of the "spaghetti bowl" looks like. This is under the freeways I-15 and I-80 where they meet up and split off. Right there is a broadcasting company. I couldn't get all of the radio stations' (there were multiple stations) cars in the shot so I got the cool old bus and a KBULL truck.
Here is another shot of the spaghetti bowl underside.
On my way to meet new people, I ran across this lovely token just resting gently in the middle of the sidewalk. When I passed it my first thought was the quote from the Bill Murray/Gina Davis/Randy Quaid movie Quick Change, "That's just bad luck seeing a thing like that."
Then my second thought was, "Wow, that's a severed bird's leg. I wonder how that got here, and why don't I carry chalk with me to out line it?"
This fellow was driving around town. I snapped a photo while we were stopped. They just passed the law that we can no longer text while driving, but I wasn't sure if they were going to outlaw taking photos too. LOL.
I stopped at a place to do some more cold calling, and I parked right behind this car. Funny thing was, the lady that drives this car actually helped me when I went in to chat with them. That is really her name!
It's my last Friday before I leave for a week to go to training. So I took the kids to Leatherby's for some ice cream after dinner. Apparently my camera wanted a picture of the people in the background rather than my adorable kids.
MMMMM. Peppermint ice cream. This was my dish, and we all got the same size. This is supposed to be the HALF scoop for kids! Holy moly!
Parker got cookies and mint ice cream. He was freezing by the time he finished his ice cream. He had to put his coat on.
Emily got playdough ice cream. She said it was the yummiest!
You can tell Parker is cold in this photo by the look on his face. We piled all of our cookies on his plate since he was the only one who could eat them. He had one cookie and we packed the rest home, but they got soggy from sitting in melted ice cream on his plate and I had to throw them away. :(
Parker's ice cream up close.
